Ohio IMAP Eligible Course

Ohio’s Individual Microcredential Assistance Program covers this course in full for eligible Ohioans. That includes tuition, materials, and your certification exam voucher where one applies. You won’t be charged for any part of it.

You likely qualify if you are a U.S. citizen, 18 or older, and currently living in Ohio. You can’t be an employee of the State of Ohio or of We Can Code IT.

Apply for IMAP funding — the application takes a few minutes, and there is no checkout step.

High school juniors and seniors may also qualify, though the State attaches a condition about whether the same credential is available through College Credit Plus. Email admissions@wecancodeit.org and we’ll work out whether it applies to you.

Businesses: this course is TechCred eligible

Ohio TechCred Eligible Course

Ohio employers can be reimbursed by the State for upskilling their teams through TechCred. TechCred reimburses the employer, not the individual, so it isn’t a checkout option — your business applies to the State directly, and we help you build the training plan that goes with the application.

Program Overview

Our Data Analytics Bootcamp is a rigorous, project-based program that prepares you for a successful career in data analytics. Over 15 weeks, you’ll gain experience in key tools and techniques, including Excel, Python, SQL, Power BI, and Machine Learning, all while learning the essential skills of data engineering, statistical analysis, and data visualization. This bootcamp isn’t just about theory; it’s about application, giving you the practical knowledge to excel in data roles across industries.

What You’ll Learn

  • Statistical Analysis & Data Cleaning: Master the fundamentals of data analytics, from hypothesis testing to data wrangling.
  • Python for Data Analysis: Use Python libraries like Pandas and Matplotlib to clean, manipulate, and visualize data.
  • SQL for Data Extraction: Become proficient in SQL, learning how to extract, clean, and transform data from databases.
  • Data Visualization with Power BI: Create impactful, interactive dashboards to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
  • Intro to Machine Learning: Get hands-on with Machine Learning basics, building and testing your first models in Python.

New for 2025: Pre-Apprenticeship Model

Our Pre-Apprenticeship model provides an exciting new way to bridge learning with real-world impact. In the final weeks of the bootcamp, you’ll work directly with community partners on meaningful projects, applying your skills to solve real data problems. Past cohorts have partnered with organizations like the Korda Institute and Columbus City Schools, analyzing data to drive actionable improvements in the classroom.
