Description
Learn to design, implement, operate, secure and troubleshoot business networks, and prepare for the CompTIA Network+ (N10-009) exam.
About this course
This course covers the five domains of the CompTIA Network+ N10-009 exam, starting with networking concepts such as the OSI model, IP addressing and protocols. You will move on to routing, switching and wireless implementation, then network operations, security and a structured approach to troubleshooting. Scenario practice and performance-based questions run through every module, ending with a capstone scenario.
Who it is for
This course is for network support technicians, junior network administrators, IT support specialists and systems administrators who manage or support business networks.
Prerequisites
CompTIA recommends CompTIA A+ or equivalent knowledge
CompTIA recommends 9 to 12 months of hands-on experience in a junior network administrator or network support role
No formal prerequisite certification is required
Requirements
Mostly cross-platform; most course activities work on Windows, macOS or Linux
Exam
CompTIA Network+ (V9) (N10-009). This course prepares you for the CompTIA Network+ N10-009 exam, and one exam attempt is included. The exam has up to 90 questions in 90 minutes, including performance-based questions. Most learners need additional self-study and lab practice beyond the course hours, especially without A+ level experience. Passing is not guaranteed.
What you will be able to do
- You will be able to explain the OSI model and identify the layer at which a given protocol or device operates.
