We Can Code IT Commits to Join the Council of Integrity in Results Reporting in 2018

Cleveland and Columbus Coding Bootcamp Pledges to Join CIRR in 2018 Here at We Can Code IT, we believe in providing our prospective students with all the information they need to make an informed decision about whether our software development bootcamp is right for them. This is why we’re excited to announce our provisional membership in the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting (CIRR). What is CIRR? The coding bootcamp industry is growing because students and employers need the skills bootcamps provide. In order to stay strong, schools need to deliver the skills that yield long-term professional opportunity. Clear, simple, validated reporting is how we know the system is working. The CIRR standard goes beyond a single “placement rate” percentage and provides a simple table to report all of the different outcomes our graduates have, including full-time employment, part-time and contract, entrepreneurs, and so on. It also goes beyond a single average salary statistic and gives us a format to report income brackets for our graduates, as well as common job titles. CIRR is different from most other reporting formats because it reports on every student who enrolled in our classes, making it completely transparent. We’re committing to publishing all our hiring statistics and student outcomes data in the CIRR format, by December 20, 2018. Joining CIRR is a process that takes time, We Can Code IT is working hard to gather the proper documentation so that we can make sure we report accurate numbers. We’re hopeful that the CIRR standards pave the way for all higher education institutions to eventually begin reporting their outcomes data in a transparent, comparable format.
