NTI Scholarships for Cleveland Residents
We Can Code ITⓇ is now taking applicants for the Cleveland Mayor’s NTI Sponsored PreSkill and/or ReSkill tech training programs. A $1500 full scholarship, normally valued at $3000, is available for WCCI’s PreSkill to qualfied applicants. Our PreSkill program allows you to start training for a career in software development or advance your tech skills in order to give you an edge in your quest for career advancement.
Additionally, NTI is offering a 50% scholarship, up to a $7450 value, for WCCI’s ReSkill software development bootcamp with the opportunity to gain additional grants and awards that make starting a new career within reach! Become a software application developer, a web developer, and more! 90%+ of our career-seeking grads start new careers within 6 months of graduation.
The NTI Scholarship includes low to middle-income families living in the following Cleveland neighborhoods (see the map below for specific boundaries:

- Woodland Hills

- E 79th and Kinsman
- Central Neighborhoods
What You Will Gain From PreSkill
- Coding Fundamentals – Get a big picture perspective on what software and web development look like and what programmers do. Get a feel for computational thinking. Use hands-on exercises and projects to demonstrate proficiency in coding fundamentals, build computational thinking abilities and begin approaching problems like a programmer.
- Intro to Web Development – Create a basic web page in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and style it using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Examine fundamentals of JavaScript and its applications to web development. By the end of the course, you’ll have an understanding of how these three languages work together to build the core of modern web development. You’ll also code through problems and end the course by creating a JavaScript Chatbot application.
- Intro to Software Development – Examine the principles of JavaScript and synthesize your previous JavaScript learnings. Build on your understanding of computational thinking basics as you practically apply them using JavaScript. Extend your previous learnings by writing and styling your own webpages using HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Explore a popular style of programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and be able to recognize the four pillars of OOP
- Career Advancement and Resume Seminar – Explore what We Can Code IT provides as part of Career Advancement. Discuss the purpose of a resume and explore best practices as well as what you should avoid when creating a resume. Create your very first technical skill-based resume and explore your next steps and how you can use previous learnings to gain new career opportunities.
- Digital, nanodegree certificate for your social media and resume
- Receive grants and scholarships when you enroll in our full-stack bootcamp to land a job as a developer!
We Can Code IT is now taking applicants for the Cleveland Mayor’s NTI Sponsored PreSkill Program, NTI offers a $1500 full scholarship, valued at $3,000, for our PreSkill program. Our PreSkill program can help you start training for a career in software development. Once you’ve successfully completed the Preskill program, the $1,500 tuition can be applied toward our ReSkill program.
